FretMitra is a guitar and music-learning app for iPhone and Android, published by Secalyx Technologies LLP ("we"), Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. This policy explains how the app handles information.

The short version

FretMitra does not collect your personal data. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. It does not send anything you do in the app to us or to anyone else.

What stays on your device

FretMitra saves these on your phone only, so the app remembers where you were:

• settings such as theme, lesson language and sound options
• lesson and course progress, and practice history
• songs and strumming patterns you save, if you have FretMitra Pro

We cannot see this information. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Microphone

The Tuner uses your phone's microphone, only while the Tuner is open and only after you allow it. The sound is analyzed on your phone to show the pitch of your guitar. It is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere. You can turn microphone access off at any time in your phone's settings.

Files you share or import

You can export your practice records. With FretMitra Pro, you can also export songs and strumming patterns and import files you choose. You decide where an export goes, for example your files, a nearby device or a messaging app. FretMitra opens only the file you pick. Where an exported file goes after that is up to you and the app you choose.

Printing

With FretMitra Pro, you can print the practice charts. Your phone's own print service sends them to the printer you choose. FretMitra does not receive any information about the printer or the print job.

FretMitra Pro purchase

FretMitra Pro is a one-time purchase made through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google), which handle the payment. We do not receive your name, payment details or store account information. FretMitra asks the store only whether Pro has been bought, so it can unlock it, including after you reinstall the app ("Restore purchases"). Apple's and Google's own privacy policies cover how they handle purchases.

Children

FretMitra does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. It has no advertising and no links to other websites.

This website

fretmitra.com uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts and loads no outside fonts. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

Your rights

Because we do not collect or store personal data about you through the app, we hold no app data to show you, correct or delete. This is our position under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and similar laws elsewhere. If you have a question about privacy or this policy, contact us at the address below.

Changes to this policy

If FretMitra changes how it handles information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date before the change reaches the app.
